Women’s movement

We cannot tell of the history of this church without the women.  We also have the Abigail’s, Ruth, Dorcas, Esther, in our mist.  The women who joined the church in the early days thought of coming together to take care of the auditorium and its fittings.  With time, they veered into the options of teaching other young women to take the mantle when they are no more.  This lead to the formation of the Local Women’s Movement.  They started meeting every Tuesday morning to pray.

With time they realized that even though most of them were house wives, they had diverse expertise and so thought of teaching each other their skills.  So they started teaching each other how to make batik tie and die, catering and deco, liquid soap, home keeping, home management, financial appropriation etc. to get them gainfully employed to liberate themselves.

This we can proudly say has given our women liberation and the boldness to carry on in life no matter their circumstances.  Today we hold two sessions on Tuesday.  One in the morning from 8:00 am-10:00am and the other from 6:30 pm -8:00pm.

We welcome you to attend any of our sessions.

Purple Ladies

Our young and vibrant ladies who are not yet married are also given the opportunity to approach marriage in a well-organized manner. They are the Purple Ladies.  They meet every Sunday after service.  These ladies are given the best of trainings in the Lord.  They are taught to make the best in good and hard times.

Children’s department

"But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased and said unto them, suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God" Mark 10:14

Children are a blessing from the Lord, with these blessings also come responsibilities. As stewards of God's children, parents are responsible for helping children grow physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually.

The church has a responsibility towards children too. We minister to the spiritual needs of our children through a children's ministry.

We provide an environment in which the children are safe, are taught at an age appropriate level and are encouraged to develop a relation with Jesus Christ, "Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it". Proverbs 22:6

To have a healthy future, it is essential that we have a viable children's ministry.
